Help for parents of a child with tics or Tourette's
Motor Tic Mastery is an online program for parents of children and teens with motor tics, vocal tics, or Tourette's. It was created by Darren, from the UK, who lived with chronic tics for 20 years and later designed a method parents can use at home with their child.

Parents and carers of a child or teen, roughly ages 8 to 21, living with motor tics (eye blinking, head shaking, neck jerking, shoulder shrugs, face grimacing, hand or arm twitches), vocal tics (sniffing, coughing, throat sounds), or Tourette's. For families who want something besides medication, or something to try alongside whatever their clinician has already suggested.

What it is
The MTM Family Method is a 10-week at-home video program. You and your child watch short modules together and practice simple tools: nervous system regulation, breath and body awareness, movement, and how you respond when a tic shows up. There are lessons for the child and separate lessons just for the parent. The parent side matters. A lot of what changes first is the atmosphere at home, not a technique done once.
What it is not
It is not CBIT, not NHS therapy, and not a medical treatment. It does not claim to "cure" tics in the clinical sense. Darren's language is healing: the urges can quiet, and most families report tics reducing a great deal or stopping. Results still vary. The work is regular, short practice, not a one-off fix.
